70/74 Arles
1 February–26 April 2026
Conceived by Maison Pan’s founder Marie with expert curatorial guidance by Margaux Bonopera (Curator, Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles), 70/74 is an endurance-based project in which Marie sets out to make 74 paintings in 70 days in the historic South-of-France city. It was inspired by Van Gogh’s 14 months in Arles from 1888 to 1889, a highly productive period in which he created some of his best loved paintings.
The first in Maison Pan’s series of international projects, 70/74 will culminate with an exhibition of the complete works by Marie from 18 to 26 April as part of the annual Festival du Dessin in Arles.
During our time in Arles we have also hosted artists from our community for week-long residencies, providing accommodation and the opportunity to experience the city, which remains an important centre for art and culture in France today. We were pleased to welcome the following residents:
Nayla Chidiac;
Pierre-Antoine Lalande;
Su Müstecaplıoğlu; and
Cyrus Mahboubian.
We are grateful to Margaux for her support, which has been essential in framing the project within a broader art-historical and curatorial context.
