Memories Are Made Here

During his one-month residency at Maison Pan Beirut, French artist Grégoire d’Ablon developed the multi-media project Memories Are Made Here.

Using a variety of archival material, he produced new photographs, text, and performance, all relating to the history of tourism in Lebanon.

His chance discovery of a 1960s Middle East Airlines in-flight menu inspired a special performance-dinner, which was accompanied by a new edition of work by the artist in the form of printed menus and postcards.
